If you answered "not so good," then you may be suffering from the effects of Murphy's Law. According to Murphy's Law, "anything that can go wrong will go wrong."
Of course, Murphy's law is not scientific fact, but rather folk wisdom. But you probably already know that there are many times when, despite your best planning, everything seems to go wrong.
You might rush off to an important meeting, only to arrive and discover that you accidentally put on mismatched shoes. You might spend hours planning a relaxing time off with your family, only be deluged with emergency calls as soon as you leave. And when things go wrong, they usually do so at the worst possible time.
Freelancers can learn a lot from Murphy's Law. While you might not be able to avoid it entirely, you can learn to manage your bad luck when it happens. In this post, I'll share three examples of Murphy's Law and explain how each situation could be managed.

It's very easy to tell the difference between a modern website design compared to something done 5 or 10 years ago. Web designers have quickly grown into a new phase of glossy buttons and CSS3 webkit properties. All of these effects can be applied to website projects today in order to prepare for a comparable outcome later on down the road.
In this article I want to look into modern design techniques for creating professional websites. I'll use a few current examples in the article which we can compare with each other. Some trends just do not work well on all websites, so you'll have to take these ideas with a grain of salt and gauge them for each situation. But it's very clear that web design has entered a more advanced development cycle and as such we are noticing tremendous adaptations with modern layouts.
Television shows are often given their own webpage hosted on the TV network. FOX, Comedy Central, and HBO are just a few examples which support their own programming. These TV shows are also given a custom layout design featuring official artwork and character promo shots.
In this gallery I've put together 30 inspirational webpage layout designs for TV shows. You may recognize many of these popular titles from western media. But the design sense is also fairly critical when comparing the success or failure of any TV personality. You can learn great design techniques from showcases of unusual websites.
