In today’s world, having access to information is a really big deal and part of that access is being able to express yourself through the Internet. Even though everyone is using social media sites for that, they don’t always cover the full pallet of expression needs. And then you realize that what you need to do is get your very own website to showcase your work, be it artwork, articles or just a good business idea. But what do you do when you don’t have any knowledge about coding, and you don’t want to spend a fortune on a specialized web development company? The answer is simple – type in imcreator.com. Although not the only one of its kind, this on-line tool is great because of the really good options and functionalities it offers. Also, it can be used both by beginners in need of a simple, yet effective website, and by programmers with advanced skills who want new ideas of how to create a great looking website. The first great feature that pops up when you start using the tool is the fact that you can choose to build the website using a template, start with an empty page or modify an existing website.

After brainstorming your brand new idea it is time to put this company into action. The tech industry loves to refer to these new innovative business ideas as "startups" when they are in a heavy growth phase. Marketing is a huge proponent to the success of any startup, regardless of the idea or market base.

As a web designer you always want to stay on top of the latest ideologies. User experience design is the process of building around what the user needs to do. You have to consider specific reasons for why users are coming to your website in the first place. And the goal is to build a layout which is ease to use, easy to navigate, and provides quick access to the most important information.

In this article I would like to share a few ideas for studying UX trends among other websites. While browsing the Internet you should consider these ideas and pinpoint good design vs bad design. As you understand what to do(and what not to do), the planning process will be a lot easier. And building a usable website will follow an understanding between what your users need and how they interact with a typical webpage.

The flat metro-style design trend has only been active within the community for a couple of years. The original designs started with Microsoft and have grown in complexity ever since. Specifically I have noticed a lot of designers working with flat CSS3 buttons, links, icons, and other UI features.

I want to dedicate this showcase towards flat website interfaces. The gallery includes 34 examples of the best flat websites. These are host to blogs, businesses, portfolios, and dozens of other styles as well. You can apply flat design techniques onto any layout because the patterns are so basic. Take a look at some of my examples examples and you will pick up new ideas pretty quickly.

Today we are announcing the acquisition of BrillThemes. DesignMag readers have shown a huge amount of interest in WordPress. Articles like this from Forbes say that 17-20% of all visits in the world are hitting WordPress sites. Therefore, we have been actively pursuing an existing product with a good base of themes. We want to be able to provide DesignMag Network readers with downloadable digital content that they can trust. We are looking forward to beefing up the theme count on BrillThemes over the next few months. For now we can give you a preview of the existing themes.

It’s been 3 years since we’ve mentioned Deposit Photos in one of our posts. Back then, they were a small, but enthusiastic agency which wanted to go after the big names in the industry. And with 1 million stock images made available for download in their first year, things looked promising. Fresh content However, in a scenario that we typically see in Sci-Fi movies, this project grew at an impressive rate, reaching 4 million stock images in 2011 and 9 million 6 months ago. Although huge increases like that might be made at the expense of quality, this didn’t happen with Deposit Photos. In fact, it seems to me that these guys actually increased the quality as they added more and more products to their shelves. Speaking of which, can you guys guess how huge is their database now? Well, 12.75 million photos! And that, I tell you, it’s impressive and according to them, they’ve increased the number of stock images by 140% in 2012 alone.
